Rigging?!
The riggings come loose?! That can't be good, anyone could get on board! They'll be stealing all the food, and the Prof won't be happy with that. If she catches any thieves, chances are they'll end up as test subjects, so serve 'em right I guess.

I'm above the standard of herbs for healing, but the 'herbs' are very valuable!
